the new one?

but I don't know where the file is now.

Q: I've decided I don't want to use the

Q: I downloaded the demo
version and then I purchased the registered version online. Do
I have to download the new one?
A: No. The demo version and registered version
are one in the same. Unlocking the registered content only requires
entering the registration codes and not a second download or installation.
Q: How do I enter my registration
codes?
A: Right click on your desktop.
Click on Properties.
Click on the Screen Saver tab.
Select the screen saver in the dropdown list box.
Click on the Settings button.
Click on the Trial tab.
Enter your Registration Name and Key EXACTLY as you received it in your
email.
Click on Ok.
Q: I entered the registration
codes but the screen saver won't unlock. What should I do?
A: Some characters, such as zero and the
letter "O" and one and a lowercase "L", can look very similar.
Additionally, capitalization CoUnTs so the codes must be entered EXACTLY
as they appear in your registration email. The easiest way to
make sure you are entering the codes correctly is to simply copy and
paste them from the email into the registration form on the Trail tab
of the screen saver settings.
Another possibility is the screen saver version has changed. This has
happened before when users registered an earlier version, lost it off
their hard drive when it crashed, downloaded and installed the new version
and then tried to use the original registration codes. Contact Gary
via email to request updated registration codes.
Q: I know I downloaded the screen
saver but I don't know where the file is now.
A: Print these directions out and then log off and
exit all other programs.
- Click on your Start button.
- Go to Find and choose Files and Folders.
- In the dialog box that opens, type in Setup.exe
on the first line.
- The default setting for the drive is most likely
C: and that should be fine unless you installed AOL (or other ISP
software) on a different drive.
- "Include subdirectories" should be checked.
- Click OK.
- The computer will generate a list of all the files
named Setup.exe. There are likely several on your computer (related
to other programs). Scroll through the list and look for the one
with today's date. That's the file you want. You can either look
in the second column and note it's location or you can double click
on the name and the setup program will start (be sure that you have
quit other programs first).
- If you don't see a listing for Setup.exe with
today's date then you can search other drives if you have them and
failing that, something must have gone wrong in the download process
and you should just download it again paying close attention to
the destination location you choose.
Q: How can I start/stop
the music?
A: The short musical introduction on those
screen savers that have it cannot be muted. However, on those screen
savers that have background music, users can change a setting to mute
it or increase the delay before the music repeats. To change any setting,
including music, open the screen saver settings by one or three methods:
(substitute the name of your screen saver where is says
"Arizona-Utah V3")
Method 1:
· Right click on the Screen Saver Control icon in the system
tray
· Go to "Configure screen saver"
· Choose "Arizona-Utah V3"
Method 2:
· Right click on any empty area of your desktop
· Select Properties
· Select the Screen Saver tab
· Select "Arizona-Utah V3"
· Click on the Settings button
Method 3:
· Click on Start then Settings then Control Panel
· Double click on Display
· Select the Screen Saver tab
· Select "Arizona-Utah V3"
· Click on the Settings button
Then:
Under the Options Tab
In the General section:
· Delay between: You can change
the length of time between images. By default this is set at 8 seconds
but you may change it from no delay to 1 hour.
· Order: The default choice is to
show the images in random order but you may change this option to sequential
order.
· Mute: By default this is set to
"no" so the background music plays while the screen saver
is running. Change this to "yes" to mute the background music.
Note: This does not mute the opening musical flourish. That is "hard
wired" and cannot be muted.
Q: I've decided I don't want
to use the screen saver. How do I remove it from my system?
